Happy Birthday to We, happy Birthday to We...

If you're not acquainted with my family, then you don't know that we have a lot of birthdays in October and November; 7, in fact. So, we do a "big" family birthday party and sing to everyone sometime in October. This year, we just had brownies and ice cream. Missed you Linz, missed you Dad.
Happy Birthday dear Nathan, Mom, Dad, Melissa, Lindsey and Jeeeess (and Rachel, too!)...Happy Birthday to We!

Here are Jes and I right before we got to go on my birthday "date." We basically split our birthday dinner and went to one fancy dinner for both of our birthdays. Since Las Vegas has so many amazing restaurants, we want to try some of them out while we live here. We have one called Rosemary's that is right down the street in a strip mall, of all places. We also have tons of restaurants on the Strip obviously, that are run by celebrity chefs like Emeril, Bobby Flay, Mario Battali, etc. We opted to go to ALIZE at the top of the Palms Casino. It was AMAZING!! We were on the 56th floor, with an amazing view of the whole valley. Speaking of the 56th floor, the elevator ride was quite possibly Jes's favorite part of the night. He's easily amused, I guess, but I have to admit, an elevator that goes so fast that your ears pop and takes like 5 seconds to shoot up to the top is pretty cool. And don't even get me started on the food. YUM! We went big for the good stuff like Duck Confit, Rack of Lamb, amongst others. Seriously delicious, and gorgeous and way expensive, but worth every penny...Yum!! Happy Birthday? Yes, Indeed!
