We bought some "reward" stickers for Matthew to earn a few weeks back. He picked out the jewels that look like they came from a treasure chest. For some reason, he likes to stick them on his forehead, but the other week he put one on Maren's head and said. "Look, Mom-- she's a genius!" Maybe geniuses have jewels on their heads? Is this some allusion to Indian cultural stereotypes? Or maybe there was just a really tricky guy in pirate show that had a jewel on his head... Who knows where this kid gets these things from! Anyway, I just liked this picture because Matthew is so happy, and the genius in the picture seems to really care less about her smarts! Ha Ha!
