I know I'm a litte late on this one, but last month, June 6th, to be exact, my little Matty turned 5! He was so excited, rattling off his list of requested presents for weeks beforehand, and was thrilled when the big day finally came. Jes took Matthew and 4 friends, Dallin, Isaac, Josh and cousin Jacob out bowling at the Red Rock Lanes. They had a great time, and with the help of the bumpers, nearly beat the dads that were along to chaperone. After the game, they came back to the Transformers party and a gourmet meal of hot dogs, lemonade and carrot sticks. Then, we opened the much anticipated presents. He got a few little Indiana Jones characters (including the much talked about "little gold man,") some fantastic little Transformer guys, and a new Batman car and a new Obi Wan spaceship. It was a low key but fun celebration. This video cracks me up-- watch Matthew flinch with the flickering candles...they were a little scary I guess. Too sparkly. We went and picked out the racecar cake and they made it look like Bumblebee the Transformer. Pretty cool for this little boy.
