Mt. Charleston

About a month ago now, we went up to Mt. Charleston with friends to beat the heat and let the kids run around in nature. Thanks to Cristi, who stayed on the phone with the forest service until she got a campsite, and Nicole, who bought me the ridiculously huge marshmallows from Harmons in Utah, we had a great time! Matthew hiked to the top of the hill to find "The Lost City of Lee Canyon," his newest fictional creation. And Evey, Maren and Anna had a good time getting dirty, trying to run away, and eating hot dogs and marshmallows--What's not to love about that?

she objected to the ones I brought, and stubborn little thing that she is, opted to sit, be held, and even resorted to crawling in order that we would not put the dreaded shoes on her feet!
