funny thing

funny thing, but you know when you have so much going on, and yet, you seem to have nothing going on? just a constant stream of diapers to be changed, tears to be wiped, temperatures to be taken, the run back to pick up kindergarteners to make, dinners to thaw (yes, i do not cook), homework to do, dishes, bottles to wash, big heavy babies to carry around when you can't breathe bc being preggo makes you out of breath.... it seems like there is so much, and yet, so little going on. its interesting that these little daily things really make up the majority of our lives and its purpose, and yet, viewed as individual tasks, they seem so mundane and sometimes so purposeless and fruitless. oh well. its just so odd to me that i seem to be accomplishing nothing, yet i'm exhausted like i'm running all day long. i guess this is just the life of the mother of small children.
