Mattthew went on his first field trip the other day to the Gilcrease Orchards pumpkin patch. It was October 3rd, and about 95 degrees at 10 in the morning when we arrived. We met the kindergarteners, who got to ride the bus (so exciting!)We hiked around the orchards looking for the perfect pumpkins, and Matthew picked the first one he saw, of course. I enjoyed sweating my buns off while carrying all the pumpkins that my child, and his friend Tyler, found too heavy to carry themselves. Although it was hot, the kids all had a good time and they all managed to survive the ride back to the school where they could finally drink the apple cider from the orchards!
