Hi! Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! It is actually 6:23pm on Halloween night and we are at home waiting for Trick-or-Treaters! Matthew has officially given up on the hunt for candy, having had 2 preschool Halloween parties and the ward Trunk-or-Treat last night. He is my official candy giver at the front door. Last night, he was happy to dress up as Spiderman, complete with his Spiderman sneakers, and since he never wears the mask, we "painted" (liquid eyeliner rocks!)his face with a requested spider and a bat! Like my nice artwork? Too bad Jes wasn't home, but I think it turned out okay. He was very concerned that he had both a spider AND a bat. He said, "Mom, what does a spider and a bat make?" "I don't know Matthew, just a spider and a bat." "No, a spider and a bat make CREEPY things!"
Also, here is a cute little poem Matthew has been saying... It keeps getting stuck in my head, so I'll pass it on!
Five little monsters sitting on the floor
The Red one said "Let's knock on someone's door!"
The Green one said, "Let's act a little scary."
The White one said, "Wow! We're so Hairy!"
The Blue one said, "I hear a funny sound."
The Pink one said, "There's no one else around."
Woosh! Went the wind and Eeek! they said
Five little monsters hide under the bed!
My favorite part is when Matthew says "Wow! We're so HAIRY!"
